Ready to Go!

I can hardly believe it. We are packed.  After almost a year of dreaming and planning and praying ~~ tomorrow we are ready to hit the dusty trail.  wowser.

Jeepers, it has been a full and long week.  ohmy.  Moving/packing/sorting/sifting/figuring out what goes where/how many shoes to take/and how to fit two households into 31feet.  It has been challenging and crazy.  Our muscles are sore....and our hearts are too.  Moving can be stretching, that is for sure ~~ even when there is a grand journey ahead.

Our first "campsite" on Fri/Sat/Sun was in our neighbor's beautiful park-like (and FLAT I might add) driveway.  It was a haven for us as we continued to move the piles from outside to "in" .... and organize the stuff.  Chester and Bailey would call it "haven" for another reason...squirrels and bunnies everywhere.  yee-hah

Tonight we're in our second Lancaster campsite...our church parking lot.  Another gift-from-God spot to enjoy as we tie up all the loose ends.

I'm so thankful, and I know I speak for us all, as we look back over this past week of craziness... Our friends and family are absolutely amazing, the very best ~~ They cooked for us, helped us move our stuff, took care of precious kiddos and pups, prayed, and fixed broken vehicles.  They are the kind of people that you can't thank enough....the kind of people that haul dressers and beds up and down stairs and smile at the same time, who fix your broken aloha-mobile ~~ and make you feel like it is their PLEASURE and most FAVORITE thing to do in the whole wide world.  How blessed we are, and how we will miss our friends and family here.

Tonight... we spent the evening with dear friends.

As we were hugging and crying and saying our good-byes, Kai looked up to me and shouted, "Gigi, we all get to sleep together again tonight!"

Well, how fun is that :-).

Time for bed.

PS ....will write again tomorrow from wherever we land.

Meet "Maxine"  our rolling home!  This is loading day...
This is loading day inside... Jack is having a blast and the rest of us are going a little nuts....
Meet "Dori", our sweet aloha-van. She carries all 6 of us + 2 dogs with room to spare.

Saying "see you soon" to a handful of Derek's family.  Keith and I not only call them family...but our dear friends.

Ready to go!

Laughter is good for the soul...especially when tears are leaking out.

Not sure if I'm ready for this????????
